OBSERVATIONS OF THE DAY: Howard was sick and he stayed home all day. Rainy outside and my energy was low until the end of my Pilates classes (7pm). Then I got an excellent cardiovascular workout. Also did my budget in the morning and felt great after finishing it. I think I am finally getting to understand how it works.

It is getting harder and harder to do my dance explorations, I need to make more room if this is something I really want. Going to Cancun with my mom in the middle of the winter Yey!!!!!

According the qualities of the crown chakra of today. Grace... yes, I am here and my life is not bad at all. Serenity....I need it to be able to accept myself the way I am. Oneness with all that is... is my goal.

OBSERVATIONS OF THE DAY: Still sick. Rest in the morning and re-organize the house. Now my desk, computer and reading table is close to the kitchen and Andrés has the second bedroom of the appartment all for himself. He wanted that, he deserve it since he is spending a lot of time in the house and wanted a place to do his workouts. I have now natural light, two windows and a beautiful view to our garden. I really like it! Andrés seems ok, we have been far away lately.

Unfortunately I wasn't conscious of the chakra of today ( solar plexus) at all. I wanted to exercise but I felt weak, didn't wear yellow and didn't do my dance. besides sick I have been very confused and down lately. But starting to morrow I am on with meditation, exercise and my video. Need to come out of the hole!!!!!

OBSERVATIONS OF THE DAY: I am sick and funny enough is at the throat and lungs.I rested all morning and canceled all my classes for tomorrow. According today, osteopathic alignment of the spine and cranio-sacral therapy is what I could do to aid my throat. I found out that massaging the muscles of my spine with the foam roller really helped my lungs and I am going to ask my husband to massage my head, not exactley crani0-sacral therapy but close :).

OBSERVATIONS OF THE DAY: I am still confused about the chakra order in this 13 Moon calendar. I just e-mailed the foundation for the Law of Time. My day was long, 4 Pilates private session and I went for brunch with Heather the owner of the Pilates studio. It was her birthday so I invited her and we talked about getting older and shared ideas on various projects for the Pilates studio. We have lots of things in common and I enjoy spending time with her.

Yesterday I had a an incredible day of exploration with my friend and mentor Marv. We chanted, talked about my issues surrounding "money" and wealth and he let me borrowed his precious copy of the Jnaneshwar's Gita" which I am using for this blog only for this week.

I am confused. Too many symbols and the chakras don't match

Today I received the "Star Traveler's 13 Moon Almanac of Synchronicity" and I am very confused.
I see many unfamiliar symbols and feel that I no nothing about this calendar even-though I thought I was finally getting to understand it. I will continue with this blog and videos but I need to figure out what is going on with the representation of the "chakras".
I am finding a discrepancy between what is written in Time and the Thechnosphere and what I am reading in this almanac, the order of the days (kins) in relationship with the chakras is not the same I was just following before, On Arguelles book the week starts on Sunday and this almanac and the little booklet start on Monday. I was feeling very intuitively driven (going to the right direction) and now I am very confused because the chakras does not match. Grrrrrr! I need to read this almanac very carefully, I will be very disappointed if there is an error on this calendar which I am trying to follow because it suppose to be "more accurate" :|

Yellow Lunar Human

Not a very harmonious day. In the morning I went to work from 7 am to 12pm. My day at the Pilates Studio was busy, I didn't have breakfast and my energy ran out very fast. Back home after running some errands I tried to work on this project but my attention was not there, instead I ate lunch, chacked my e-mail and at about 3:30 I exercise with my husband. Our workout with the P90X DVD was great, I was(am) sore all over and feeling energized, although still I couldn't do this blog because of so many interruptions (like watching the spanish movie "Celda 211"). But finally I am here writing. I feel that today I was not at all connected neither with the mayan Calendar nor with the Gregorian. I was in limbo; a kind of resting and procrastination mood. Part of me wanted to rest and do nothing and the other wanted to be creative and productive. Unfortunately the first one was stronger today. Why? Self sabotage? Just needed to rest? Some days I am enthusiastic and optimistic and some days neutral and passive. What is the secret of self-motivation? Where does motivation come from? I found some answers here

And I DID find some motivation to do the dance exploration for today (see below :)) Yes, I know it is very simple although If I can dance I can live, If I live I can be conscious and if I am conscious there is hope to find what I am looking for.... truth.

Blue Magnetic Monkey

Today I had my weekly meeting with my friend Marv Thomas. We talked about spirituality and practice some chants, danced, talked and meditated. Also explained to him about Laban Movement Analysis. The highlight event of our meeting was a movement exploration about TIME and the relationship between following the rhythm of your heart beat and following the rhythm of the clock (he has an old pendulum clock). We sensed that both beats are quite different. Is like in music I think: the heart is in a down beat and the clock in the upbeat (or vice-versa). We were playing with the rhythms and Marv started to repeat the words "10cents" as if every beat of the clock was counted as money. 10cents, 10 cents, 10 cents...
I told him that maybe we have found a good example of Natural Time (our heart beat) and Mechanical Time (the clock). If you are reading this post. I suggest you to try this exercise. Just put your hand on your neck, find your heart beat, begin singing your pulsations and then do the same following your clock (make sure is an old one, maybe borrow your grandmother's). If you do this let me know what are you findings! Cheers :)

Seems that during my work days I am not able to be very conscious that I want to be more conscious (make sense?)
Routine, scheduling, trying to be on time and planning ahead for things is what takes all my attention. Why is this?
Work keep us busy and productive but unaware of our true nature? It is so easy to just work, watch TV, eat and go to bed to do it all over again the next day. I need to find the way to merge the fascinating world of being conscious with being pragmatic. I am writing this blog at 11:51pm, just a couple minutes before the end of the gregorian calendar day. I need more time, my husband is calling me to bed. I want to have all the time to write, dance and think about the great possibilities of human kind evolution. Seems impossible! Values, calendars, clocks, relationships, everything is clashing. I feel an internal conspiracy to just stay asleep and keep doing the same even-though it feels off . Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Today's Red Crystal Moon unfolded with no synchronisities yet. A day of rest, driving, 99 F. degrees and amazing miso soup, suchi and mochi at Blue C Sushi. Today my meditation was done outside and felt a string inside of me connecting up to the universe and grounding to the core of the Earth. José Arguelles chakra diagram was in my mind: Crown chackra as the receiver, throat as the transducer, soloar plexus as receiver and root chakra as transmiter as well. Transmitter of what? Cosmic energy? Energy from the core of Earth?

Yellow Spectral Star

Today there is just one video of this day color, tone and seal, which is Yellow Spectral Star and some synchronicities which made this day a special one. Please read below. In the morning I went to work at the Pilates Studio, then back home for lunch and spent the rest of the day at GreenLake swimming, enjoying the sun and reading José Arguelles "Time and the Technosphere". I can't complain :)

Synchronicities:
1) My hand was about to push and close the front door of my apartment, and then the air closed it. Same time, same moment.
2) I fall as sleep taking the sun at a sunny spot at Greenlake. When I woke up and pick up my towel, I was ready to go and looked at my clock to find out it was 5:33pm. ( I have been seeing 33 all around me for about 6 months from now)
3) Walking around Greenlake I noticed a business card on the floor. After thinking twice about picking it up, I did and the name on it was "Jacqueline Layke, Screen/ Executive Producer. Who knows... maybe I need to meet her :)
4) Lastly, today I saw a dance colleague I just crossed pads on Thursday at a yoga class. Funny because Seattle is big and seeing an specific person twice in just three days seams highly unlikely, although possible right!

Uploading videos on YouTube is not that complicated. I am sure that some of the students already know how.
I found a lot of help on YouTube site. The basics on how to upload the video are in http://www.youtube.com/youtubeonyoursite, And at http://www.youtube.com/t/howto_makevideo they indicate that the videos need to be saved as a Quick Time. MOV, MPG or MPG4.

For those new to this process, follow the following instructions:

Steps to save your video to view it on Youtube
1- Open your movie on iMovie
2-Go to "file" and click on "share"
3-Click on Quick Time
4- Click on "Compress movie for" and choose "web"
5-Decide where you want to save this new video
5- Wait a couple minutes (5-10)
6- You are done with this part!

Time to upload your video on Youtube

1- Open and account on Youtube
2- Fill the form, choose a password and username
3- You will receive an e-mail from YouTube to confirm your account
4- Open your e-mail. Click on "confirm your account" on that e-mail
5- You will be directed to YouTube site again where you can put your username and password
6-You will be asked to upload the video you just saved for the web from iMovie
(This will take a couple minutes depending of how long is your video)
8- A page with an HTML code will be displayed
9-Copy that HTML code. You are going to need this to paste it on your Blug

Adding your YouTube Video to your blogg

1-Open your blog
2-Click "Customize"
4-Click "Add a page element"
5-Select HTML/JavaScript and then "Add to Blog"
6-Write the title of your video-dance
7- Paste the HTML code you had from YouTube
8- Click "Save Changes"
9-View your video (Press the play icon (tingle) in the middle of the image
10- Done!!!! You did it!!!!

Preparing for the final study

No class, the Undergraduate Research Symposium was today and I wanted them to have the day to work on their study. I wonder if I am giving them a lot of days to work on this final video dance. I guess the results will tell me. Personal meetings will run on Tuesday and Thursday therefore I need to finish my comments for each of them. Yesterday I met with Kristen, her idea for this final study is full of interesting symbols and we came up with a couple metaphors. I spoke with Thomas as well his idea of creating video dance without dancers and using only wooden figures is fascinating although very time consuming. We will see!

I am preparing the questions for tomorrow's trivia for Chapter 3, 4 and 5 of our book "Making Video Dance" we are going to talk about storyboards so I got some samples plus the one from "Mu"
It is time for the students to start with their bluggs and finally I am getting to finish this so they can see a sample. I am excited to see their final projects.
